Red is a sign of dignity. 165 nations were represented among them 65 royal dignitaries. Cardinal John Ratzenberger temporarily took the Pope's position performing the satanic rituals. The most famous temples of Dagon were at Gaza (Judges 16:21-30) and Ashdod (1 Samuel 5:3,4; 1 Chronicles 10:10). Dagon was represented with the face and hands of a man and the lower half the body as the tail of a fish (1 Samuel 5:3-4). The fish-like form was a symbol of fruitfulness, and as such was likely to be adopted by seafaring tribes in the representation of their gods, which is why Rome who ruled the seas easily adopted the mystery religion. Search for pictures of the Dagon or Enki priests and you'll find they wore fish costumes with fish head hats similar to today's miter. The fish symbol Christians use today is literally one of the many marks of the beast Dagon.

Leaving the Catholic Church involves more than just understanding that some Catholic doctrines and practices are contrary to Scripture. There are often emotional issues as well. I have had to deal with these issues myself. I also correspond with former Catholics who are currently dealing with them. Some people see God's truth, simply and suddenly, like a light being turned on inside of them. They walk out of Catholicism and into Biblical Christianity, without emotional turmoil. That is wonderful. It is a precious gift from God. For many former Catholics, there are difficult emotional issues that we have to deal with. Often our new friends in our new church don't understand them. Christians often assume that, once Catholics understand doctrinal issues and Biblical principles, then that is the end of the matter. But for many of us, it isn't. There can be a lot more involved than just intellectual understanding. Catholics are used to having priests tell them how to think and what to do. As a result, it can be difficult for former Catholics to learn to pray for themselves, read the Bible for themselves, and take responsibility for their own life. We can overcome this difficulty, but it requires determination, persistence, and prayer.

The Roman Catholic Church, which came into existence in the late 4th Century, unrightfully usurped this title for itself exclusively, in contradiction of the true universality of Christ's church. Hence, the modern Catholic church is not Christ's universal catholic church of ancient times.

CHRIST'S CHURCH IS THE PEOPLE NOT AN INSTITUTION Christ's true church is everyone who places trusting faith in God solely through Him for salvation. His church has existed throughout the ages of history, not restricted to a denomination, but existing as His people themselves. The Greek word for church is "ekklesia" meaning "called out ones". Therefore, the people of Christ, not an institutional church such as the Roman Catholic church or even any denominational church, is the true universal church of Christ.

While I was a Witness, I was sure that we had a spiritual paradise that people in Christendom could not appreciate. But since leaving Jehovah's Witnesses I have realized that it is not about religion, but it's about relationship. I now enjoy a relationship with God that I could not have as a Jehovah's Witness. In fact, when I sent out letters that told my old Witness friends of my new relationship with God, the elders wanted me to face charges of apostasy.

In 1999 I wrote a letter to my local congregation and officially terminated my affiliation with the Jehovah's Witnesses.
